Acceptability and Preference

Taste testing of products containing active ingredients is conducted within RSSL's Consumer Guidance department.  Consumer usage studies can be conducted on OTC and ethical pharmaceutical products.  We have extensive research experience including trials with children, healthy volunteers and patients.

Studies are conducted to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards with an Independent Ethics Committee review of protocols as required.

Studies are conducted to:

• Identify the preferred formulation to launch
• Understand the competitive position of products
• Identify those attributes that need to be addressed in order to optimise formulations

Working closely with our Sensory department we are able to combine both sensory and consumer data to identify those product attributes that are driving consumer/patient preference.
