Federation of Oils, Seeds and Fats Associations (FOSFA)

FOSFA is an international organisation which governs oil and oilseed contracts, advises members on legal and technical problems, and liases with international standard bodies such as BS, ISO and governmental regulatory departments. In order to carry this out it administers and regularly tests a network of member analysts and member superintendents,and organises and sponsors research into problems encountered with oils and oilseeds, particularly those involving analysis.

Of the member analysts, four (one in each of the UK, Netherlands, Japan and France) are termed 'Advanced Analysts', and are used by members for non-routine analyses, and for advice on problems. RSSL is the FOSFA Advanced Analyst in the UK and, as such, is accredited and recognised by FOSFA as being able to perform all of the Mandatory and Optional Tests in each section (Oilseeds, Oils and Fats and Selected Groundnuts).
