Jean-Yves Mugnier MPhil has recently joined the Microscopy department of Reading Scientific Services Ltd (RSSL) as a Senior Scientist. Having spent eight years in food research and development, he brings extensive experience of microscopy in the food industry, as well as in the study of other materials such as paper, surface coatings and polymers. Jean-Yves also gained managerial experience with his last employer by leading the microscopy group. His experience of using microscopy techniques to understand the structural properties of products will be valuable to many of the food and pharmaceutical clients of RSSL in resolving change of processing, formulations and ingredients functionalities.
