Expansion gathers pace

The expansion at Reading Scientific Services Ltd (RSSL) is gathering pace with the appointment of several new recruits into senior positions, and commissioning of new equipment. Massive investment in building new laboratory space is also ongoing. Alex Webbe joins as Laboratory Manager and Andreas Czepa as Flavour Technical Specialist in RSSL's Investigative Analysis Department, while Bastiaan Dickhoff is appointed as a Technical Specialist in the Physical Sciences Laboratory. Davinia Mills, an LC-MS protein specialist has been appointed to help develop our biopharmaceutical service offering. New equipment has also come into RSSL as the laboratories expand services in areas such as powder analysis, chemical contaminant investigations, and microscopy. New detectors have been added to existing LC-MS equipment to provide additional capabilities in chemical analysis, and the physical sciences laboratory has taken delivery of powder flow technology. X-ray tomography equipment has been added to the microscopy laboratory, and new techniques are being introduced to enhance the services RSSL can offer to the bio-pharmaceutical sector.
