New course on writing reports

 29 Jul 2009

RSSL Pharma Training is launching a new course "Report Writing For Scientists", which will assist scientists in any discipline to write clearer and better reports, especially where these are for a non-scientific audience. It should be especially useful to researchers and technical staff needing to explain or illuminate their work to non-specialist managers or company directors, or perhaps to scientists working in contract laboratories who need to report back to customers who do not speak the same ‘scientific language’.

The course takes place over one-day and is scheduled for October 22nd at RSSL Pharma's Training Centre in Reading, although in-house dates can be arranged if clients so wish.

Like all of the training on offer from RSSL Pharma Training, the "Report Writing for Scientists" course is highly interactive, being based around practical exercises. The emphasis is on planning, reader analysis, structuring the message and writing clearly, and although this is not a grammar and punctuation course, these elements may be remarked upon during the sessions. Prior to the course, delegates are encouraged to submit examples of their work for the tutor to review and relate to during the course, where appropriate.
