Deposits and Hazes
RSSL employs a multi-disciplinary approach involving microscopy, chemistry and microbiology in the investigation of deposits and hazes to:
- Identify their chemical composition
- Determine the source and causes of the problem
- Offer solutions for preventing recurrence
Deposits and hazes in products often arise from natural deposition or settling out of the ingredients, breakdown of filtration systems or by chemical contamination. Other possible causes include microbiological or enzymatic activity.
