Particle/Droplet Size Distribution Measurements

A Malvern Mastersizer is used to determine the particle size distribution of pharmaceutical products.

By dispersion in an appropriate medium (e.g. oil), the Malvern Mastersizer 2000, using light scattering technology, is able to measure particles/droplets in the size range 0.02 to 2000 microns.

Sieving (either wet or dry) may also be used for particle size analysis of powders.
