Sensory Evaluation
Taste testing of pharmaceutical products is conducted by RSSL Pharma's Sensory department to Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Trained sensory panels are used to measure individual product characteristics.
Studies are conducted to:
- Identify the differences between products
- Understand the competitive position of products
- Identify those attributes that need to be addressed in order to optimise formulations
- Understand how formulations differ in terms of one particular attribute e.g. bitterness
Testing of products containing active ingredients are conducted, including OTC and ethical pharmaceutical products.
