Assessing HACCP Systems
Dates:
8th July 2008
11th November 2008 Course cost:- £430 + VAT
The application of HACCP is now a legal requirement under European Food Legislation. Many food businesses have applied the principles of HACCP to their operations for various reasons for some considerable time, whether to satisfy internal requirements, customer requirements or for certification purposes.
The application of HACCP principles not only allows food businesses to identify and control the points in their processes that require rigorous management to ensure the manufacture of a safe product but also offers an opportunity to improve the integrity of the control systems used. This opportunity is not always realised and this workshop not only offers delegates the knowledge to assess their own HACCP systems but also the possibility of input from a food safety and HACCP consultant to help identify areas within the HACCP Plan where amendment may benefit the company.
This intensive 1-day workshop is aimed at those responsible for managing food safety within their companies, including HACCP team leaders and members, technical, production and engineering staff. To maximise the benefits from the session, delegates are recommended to bring a copy of one of their HACCP plans (anonymously and confidentially) from their workplace for review, and feedback from the consultant trainer and fellow delegates. It is expected that those attending will have some audit experience.
Workshop contents:
- Refresher on HACCP Principles
- Assessing HACCP systems - tools & techniques
- Common issues and problems
- Categorising and reporting findings
- Assessment of delegate HACCP Plans
