Insect Identification

RSSL's Microscopy Department can assist with the identification of insects.  RSSL works with external consultants to determine:

• The species of family or insect
  
  
• Its country of origin and association with specific raw materials
  
  
• Whether the contamination occurred before or after heat processing, for example, pasteurisation of the product by checking for activity of the heat-labile phosphatise enzyme
