Product Development

Our skilled food technology specialists undertake all aspects of food product development; concept ideation, formulation optimisation, pilot trials and product evaluations through to commercialisation.

R&D Support for the Food Industry

Consumer acceptance of food products is a complex area that requires inter-disciplinary expertise. With access to state-of-the art and well-equipped pilot-scale facilities, we are able to flexibly support your food product development and conduct effective scale up trials to ensure consistency and efficacy of your products before full scale factory production saving you time and money. We are also able to rapidly prepare high quality demonstration samples for you to impress with at sales meetings and exhibitions. We can prepare a wide variety of products in a number of different food sectors.

We work with you through the whole product development lifecycle from concept to commercialisation, from creative concept ideation to highly technical troubleshooting. Ingredients and formulation must be optimised, and products must be carefully designed so as to retain the required properties over processing, shelf-life, storage and consumption: we have expertise and capability in all of these areas, so you can either partner with us throughout development of a complete product, or support your internal team by outsourcing a specific aspect to us.

We provide a flexible service that’s tailored to your needs and overseen by a dedicated project manager, and we always advise regular review meetings to keep you abreast of project status and progress and for effective transfer of knowledge.

Projects are always completed on a fully confidential basis.

We partner with you through all stages of the product development process:-
