UK Recalls

  • Kettle Foods Ltd has withdrawn some packs of its Oven Baked Sweet Potato Chips Sweet Chilli because they contain wheat (gluten). Wheat is labelled in the ingredients list, however the product labelling also states 'no gluten-containing ingredients'. (FSA)
  • Three companies (Dunnes Stores, Lidl Ireland and McColgan's Quality Foods) have withdrawn some of their sausage roll products because the products contain sulphites. (FSA)
  • Karro Food Group has withdrawn two different products (Cookstown 6 Buffet Sausage Rolls 216g and Cookstown 16 Sausage Rolls 288g) because they contain sulphites, which are mentioned on the ingredient list, but not in the allergen advice box. (FSA)
  • Shengda Ltd is withdrawing its Li Li Handmade Chicken Dumplings and Li Li Handmade Pork Dumplings with 'best before' dates up to and including 21 March 2015 because they contain allergens that are not mentioned on the labels: egg, soya, sesame and milk. (FSA)
  • One Stop is recalling packs of its Crispy Potato Slices with a use-by date of 13 April 2014 and 14 April 2014 because the product contains milk, which is not mentioned in the allergen information on the product label. (FSA)

Ireland Recalls

  • Three companies (Dunnes Stores, Lidl Ireland and McColgan's Quality Foods) have withdrawn some of their sausage roll products because the products contain sulphites.

Australia and New Zealand Recalls

  • Nutra Organics has recalled three varieties of energy bars: Super Greens + Reds multivitamin energy bar (organic berry choc chunk); Superfoods for Kidz (Berry Choc Chunk); and Coco Biotics probiotic energy bar (coconut choc chunk) due to the presence of undeclared allergens (milk, peanuts and almonds).
  • Some 750 ml bottles of Sun Country sparkling grape juice have a low level of fermentation which may cause the contents to leak or the bottle to break.
  • Freedom Foods Pty Ltd has recalled Freedom Foods Vanilla Crunch Rice Bars and Freedom Foods Cocoa Crunch Rice Bars from Woolworths and IGA supermarkets nationally, due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (dairy).
  • Coles Supermarkets Australia Pty Ltd has recalled Coles Easter Eggs (12 pack in plastic egg crate – various coloured foils) from Coles Supermarkets Australia-wide, due to the presence of undeclared allergens (tree nuts).

Canada Recalls

  • All Fruits Ltd. and Restaurant Maman Fournier brands fruit salad products may be unsafe due to Listeria
  • Safeway brand baked bean products recalled due to undeclared mustard
  • Prolimer and Waterfront Bistro brand fish and seafood products recalled due to undeclared mustard
  • Sunrise Bakery brand Macaroon Cookies recalled due to undeclared milk
  • The Pie Place brand cookie products recalled due to undeclared milk, wheat and soy
  • Grandma's Perogies brand Potato & Bacon Perogies contain undeclared soy
  • The French Oven brand Dessert Cup Carrot recalled due to undeclared milk
  • Thai Kitchen Brand Thai Peanut Microwave Rice Noodles & Sauce recalled as it may contain spoilage microorganisms
  • Korea Food Trading Ltd's rice porridge with abalone, product of Korea, recalled due to potential presence of dangerous bacteria
  • Various Frontier, 365 Everyday Value and Simply Organic organic black peppercorns recalled due to Salmonella

US Recalls

  • Oscars Smokehouse Inc. of Warrensburg, New York is recalling eleven of its 7-oz. “CHEESE SPREADS” varieties because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
  • Vermont Common Foods of North Clarendon, VT operating under the Orton Bros. Brand is recalling one lot of Zesty Lemon Cookie Buttons because they may contain Peanut Butter Cookies. The product label does not declare peanuts.
  • BBM Chocolate Distributors, Ltd. of Brooklyn, NY is recalling “all lots” of CHOCOLAT Alprose 52% CACAO PREMIUM DARK CHOCOLATE, Alprose Swiss Chocolate Dark Chocolate and CHOCOLATE Alprose Napolitains because it may contain undeclared milk.
  • Clif Bar & Company is initiating a voluntary recall of a small amount of 15-count boxes of Chocolate Chunk LUNA® Bars that were shipped to limited stores nationwide. These 15-count boxes include Chocolate Chunk LUNA® Bars made with macadamia nut butter, but the wrappers do not include macadamia nuts in the ingredient list or allergen statement.
  • Vita Food Products, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois is notifying the public that it is recalling 2,280 individual plastic jars of 12 ounce Elf Herring Fillets in Wine Sauce that actually contains herring fillets in sour cream and therefore contains undeclared milk.
  • Fresh Express Incorporated has issued a recall of a limited number of cases of 10 oz. and 6oz. Italian Salad due to a possible health risk from Listeria monocytogenes.
  • Lao Thai Nam Corp., of Dallas, Texas is recalling Number One Sompa Salted Fish, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.
  • Emparedados Boricua located in Bayamón PR, is warning that the product "Emparedados Boricua - Chicken and Cheese" packaged in units of 6.5 oz. contains eggs that are not declared on the label.
  • KORU Pacific Packaging, today issued a voluntary recall of AH!LASKA®, because one lot of the product may contain milk, which is not labeled in the ingredients.
  • Frontier Natural Products Co-op is voluntarily recalling several of its products manufactured with organic black peppercorns that were sold under its Frontier and Simply Organic brands, Whole Foods Market 365 Everyday Value, and others due to potential Salmonella contamination.
  • Vitamin Cottage Natural Food Markets, Inc., a Lakewood, Colorado based natural grocery chain, is recalling multiple lots of Natural Grocers brand Organic Black Peppercorns as the product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
  • H Group, Inc. of Framingham, MA is voluntarily recalling 509 units of Trader Giotto's Caesar Salad with Caesar Dressing because they may not list wheat, soy, egg and fish (anchovy) in the ingredients.
  • Buffalo SAV Inc of Buffalo, NY is recalling its 907 g (2 lb) package of Potato and Bacon perogies Grandma`s perogies brand because it may contain undeclared soy protein allergen.
