UK Recalls

  • Lawncourt Harvest Ltd has recalled tubs of Munchy Seeds Honey Seeds with a 'best before' date of 19 September 2014 and 24 September 2014 because the product may contain small stones and pieces of glass. (FSA)
  • Aldi Stores Ltd has recalled all batches of Holly Lane Bakewell Slices because they contain milk which is not mentioned in the allergen information on the product label. (FSA)
  • Longdan Ltd is recalling a batch of Sugar Coated Mixed Fruit with a 'best before' end date of June 2014 because it contains sulphites which are not mentioned on the product label. (FSA)
  • Lidl UK is recalling jars of its Ocean Sea Rollmops because mustard is not mentioned in English on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for those with an allergy to mustard. In addition, the label does not mention fish as an ingredient in English, although the product label does show an image of prepared fish. (FSA)
  • Sainsbury's is recalling all date codes of its SO Organic Sultanas on a precautionary basis, because salmonella has been found during routine testing. (FSA)

Ireland Recalls

  • Following a report of one case of an allergic reaction after eating Home Cook Wonderbar Dark Chocolate Flavour Cake Covering, the product was tested and milk protein was detected in the implicated batch. Milk is not an ingredient in this product; however, it is manufactured on the same production line as chocolate products which contain milk ingredients. This may make this batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk or its constituents.

Australia and New Zealand Recalls

  • The Original Smoke and Spice Co Pty Ltd has recalled Smoked Sea Salt Gourmet Seasoning from Food&Wine shows, other trade fairs and produce markets in ACT, NSW, QLD and VIC due to an undeclared allergen (soy).
  • Belmore Bean Factory Pty Ltd has recalled Sprout Garden Alfalfa and Onion Sprouts from the Sydney Markets (Flemington) and fruit and vegetable stores in NSW due to E.coli contamination.
  • Coles Supermarkets Australia has recalled Coles Simply GlutenFree Nut Free Cereal from Coles and Bi-Lo stores nationally due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (tree nuts - almonds).

Canada Recalls

  • Organic Traditions brand Dark Chocolate Sacha Inchi Seeds recalled due to undeclared milk
  • Orthodox Coconut Palm brand coconut juice (coconut milk) recalled due to undeclared milk
  • Les Chocolats Lulu brand chocolate figures recalled due to undeclared egg

US Recalls

  • Frontier Natural Products Co-op is voluntarily recalling several of its products manufactured with organic black peppercorns that were sold under its Frontier and Simply Organic brands, Whole Foods Market 365 Everyday Value, Nature's Place and others due to potential Salmonella contamination.
  • Lisy Corporation of Miami, FL is voluntarily recalling Lisy Sweet Basil (Albahaca), 6 oz jar, Item #1132, Lot #'s A013 0518 & A014 0518, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
  • Fernandez Chile Company Inc of Alamosa, Colorado is recalling 4oz Chile Molido Puro UPC code 77601-10011 and 6oz Chile Rojo UPC code 77601-10053 because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
  • Karl Bissinger's LLC announced a recall of its Dark Chocolate Bunny Ears because one lot was mislabeled and contains undeclared milk.
  • SINCO INC is voluntarily recalling from sale Archer Farms Chocolate Hazelnut Swirl Gelato 30 FL OZ (UPC 085239-703618), imported from Italy and sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide. This product may contain traces of peanut protein, which is not declared on the label.
  • The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) has recalled Private Selection Sweet Strawberry Sorbet sold at the company's Kroger and Jay C stores in 13 states because the product may contain milk not listed on the label.
  • HEALTH MATTERS AMERICA INC. of Cheektowaga, New York is recalling specific lots of ORGANIC TRADITIONS BRAND DARK CHOCOLATE GOLDEN BERRIES AND DARK CHOCOLATE SACHA INCHI SEEDS because they were found to contain undeclared milk.
  • Price Chopper Supermarkets is issuing a voluntary recall on its Price Chopper Brand Tuscan White Bean Hummus. The product is being recalled due to it being mislabeled with the ingredient panel for Price Chopper Sweet Potato Hummus, which does not declare that the product contains parmesan cheese, a known allergen.
  • Dominex Natural Foods, LLC, is voluntarily recalling its AngelBowls Corkscrew Pasta and Creamy Tomato Vodka Sauce with following day codes: 00914 and 01314; ("Corkscrew Pasta") because its ingredients may include undeclared pine nuts, a potential allergen.
  • Whole Foods Market Southwest Region is recalling mini butter croissants because they contain eggs, an undeclared allergen.
  • Hickory Farms, Inc., the specialty food and holiday gift retailer today announced a voluntary recall of its Chipotle Ranch Sauce due to an undeclared allergen on its label. The Chipotle Ranch Sauce is formulated with buttermilk powder, a known allergen. However, the product was mistakenly released with a label that does not declare the presence of this milk allergen.
  • Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of all Wegmans Easter Bread (braided loaf) 17 oz., UPC 77890 32431 (all code dates) because it contains egg, which is not declared on the label.
