UK Recalls

  • Ruby's Food Products Ltd has recalled all packs of ELAKKIA Jaffna Mixture, because the product contains peanuts, cashew nuts and wheat, which are not mentioned on the label. (FSA)
  • The Engine Shed has recalled packs of its vacuum-packed Organic Tofu that were produced with inadequate controlling factors to prevent the growth and toxin production of Clostridium botulinum. This is a food bug that may cause a serious form of food poisoning called botulism. (FSA)
  • Unilever has withdrawn three varieties of Slimfast Meal Bars because some packs have been packed into incorrect boxes, and the presence of wheat and oats (gluten) and peanuts are not mentioned on the label. (FSA)
  • Symington's Ltd is recalling packs of Ainsley Harriott Amazing Grains Lentil Dahl with a ‘best before’ end date of March 2015 and April 2015 because they contain milk which is not mentioned on the product label. (FSA)

Ireland Recalls

  • Unilever has withdrawn three varieties of Slimfast Meal Bars because some bars have been packed into incorrect boxes and therefore the allergen information on the boxes regarding peanut, wheat, oats and gluten may not match the product in the box.

Australia and New Zealand Recalls

  • Woodside Cheese Wrights has recalled Woodside Cheese Wrights Charleston jersey cow milk Brie and Woodside Cheese Wrights Capricorn Goat Brie from independent grocers and gourmet grocers in NSW, QLD and SA due to E.coli contamination.
  • Pacific West Foods Australia Pty Ltd has recalled one batch of Ocean Chef Salt Water Barramundi portions from Woolworths stores nationally due to the potential presence of foreign matter.
  • King Sports Industries Pty Ltd has recalled Dexaprine XR Green Apple from sports supplement stores in ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC and WA, and via online sales, due to the presence of prescription only medications, including oxedrine and high levels of caffeine.

Canada Recalls

  • Industry is recalling Rice Porridge products from the marketplace because they contain shellfish, milk and/or sesame seeds which are not declared on the label.
  • TenTen brand Ten Cereal 4 in 1 recalled due to undeclared milk
  • Vegetarian Delite Bakery Ltd. is recalling various cookies and biscuits from the marketplace because they contain milk, wheat, soy and/or sulphites which are not declared on the label.
  • La Maison d'affinage Maurice Dufour Inc. is recalling Le Migneron de Charlevoix cheese from the marketplace because it contains the toxin produced by Staphylococcus.
  • Cuisine Karo Inc. is recalling Yogourt Cups from the marketplace because they contain almonds which are not declared on the label.
  • Sunrise Bakery Ltd. is recalling ring donuts from the marketplace because they contain egg which is not declared on the label.
  • Hong Dao Business Development Ltd. is recalling Hankow brand Han Kow Style Noodle from the marketplace because it may contain peanut which is not declared on the label.

US Recalls

  • Miravalle Foods, Inc. of El Monte, CA, is conducting a voluntarily recall on its 0.75 ounce packages of Miravalle brand Achiote Molido Ground Annato spice because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
  • Organic yogurt maker Stonyfield is voluntarily recalling 188 6-packs of 4 oz YoBaby Peach/Pear cups in response to internal testing of the product that revealed the possibility that some product shipped from its Londonderry plant may be affected by coliform contamination.
  • The Kroger Co. has recalled Private Selection Chocolate Hazelnut Mascarpone Ice Cream and Private Selection Caramel Hazelnut Fudge Truffle Ice Cream sold at the Kroger family of stores in 31 states because the products may contain egg not listed on the label.
  • Bacai is voluntarily recalling 13165 lot of LiteFit USA, to the retail and consumer level as sample analysis by the FDA has revealed that this product contained sibutramine. Sibutramine is a controlled substance that was removed from the market in October 2010 for safety reasons.
  • Sixdog Investments, LLC is voluntarily recalling some cases of their certified organic eggs, because of the potential they are contaminated with Salmonella.
  • NOH Foods of Hawaii, of Honolulu, HI and Gardena, CA is voluntarily recalling its 2 ounce, 4 ounce, and 3 lb. (48 oz) packages of “Hawaiian Coconut Pudding” because they may contain undeclared dairy product.
  • Anhing Corporation of Los Angeles, CA is conducting a Nationwide recall of Caravelle Brand Chili Powder in 8 ounce plastic tubs lot code 560916, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
  • Wells Enterprises, Inc., maker of Blue Bunny ice cream said today it has recalled Blue Bunny Premium Bordeaux Cherry Chocolate Ice Cream sold at retail grocery stores in Kansas, Indiana and Iowa because the product may contain egg not declared on the label.
  • Pacific Organic Produce, San Francisco, CA is voluntarily recalling a limited number of cases of organic Tommy Atkins mangos due to a possible health risk from Listeria monocytogenes.
