UK Recalls

  • Asda is withdrawing its Smart Price Crisps with a 'best before' date of 6 September 2014 because the product contains milk, barley and gluten which are not mentioned on the label. (FSA)
  • Symington's Ltd is recalling one date code of its Ragu White Lasagne Sauce, because some jars have been produced with an incorrect pH level. This may present a microbiological food safety risk to consumers. (FSA)
  • ASDA has withdrawn its ASDA Choco Sprinkles 64g with a 'best before' date of 31 May 2015 because it may contain milk, which is not mentioned on the label. (FSA)

Ireland Recalls

  • Symington's Ltd. is recalling Ragu White Lasagne Sauce (Best before end: 06/2016; production "Julian" code: L416200086; time codes affected: 17.14 - 18.01), as the measured pH in some jars does not comply with food industry safety standards for pasteurised products. The affected batch was distributed to Tesco Ireland, which has removed it from sale and is issuing in-store notices.

Australia and New Zealand Recalls

  • Pure Pie Pty Ltd has recalled its Free Range Braised Beef, Red Wine & Rosemary Pie (280g and 950g) from its retail store, independent supermarkets, cafés and providores (specialty stores) in VIC due to the presence of foreign matter (glass).
  • Omar Cheese Pty Ltd has recalled Village Paneer and Indya Paneer from Indian specialty shops in VIC due to Listeria monocytogenes.
  • Massel Australia Pty Ltd has recalled four flavours of Chefs Cupboard Simply Stock; Beef, Chicken, Vegetable and Salt Reduced Chicken from Aldi Stores in ACT, NSW, QLD and VIC due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (milk).

Canada Recalls

  • Industry is recalling Al-Karawan brand Manna Wassalwa from the marketplace because it contains egg which is not declared on the label.
  • Fromagerie Le Détour (2003) Inc. is recalling Sentinelle cheese from the marketplace because it may contain the toxin produced by Staphylococcus bacteria.
  • Gagan Foods International Ltd. is recalling Shan brand Lemon Pickles from the marketplace because they contain mustard which is not declared on the label.
  • Green World Food Express Inc. is recalling Abido brand Crispy Cover Mixes from the marketplace because they contain milk which is not declared on the label.
  • AFOD Ltd. is recalling San Mig brand 3 in 1 Coffeemix from the marketplace because it contains milk which is not declared on the label.
  • Fresh Sprout International Ltd. is recalling Fresh Sprouts brand Fresh Bean Sprouts from the marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination.
  • Aling Mary's is recalling Aling Mary's brand Sweet Buns (Pandesal) from the marketplace because they contain milk and wheat which are not declared on the label.
  • King's Vegetarian Food Manufacturing Co. is recalling dim sum products from the marketplace because they contain wheat, soy, sesame and sulphites which are not declared on the label.
  • The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), Walmart Canada Corporation and Mead Johnson Nutrition (Canada) Company are advising the public that some bottles of Enfamil A+ Ready-to-Feed Infant Formula have been found with the tamper-proof seal broken and blue tape applied in its place. These bottles were found to contain water and some formula residue instead of infant formula. A total of three complaints have been reported in Brampton and Mississauga. Walmart immediately removed the product from sale in a number of stores in the Halton and Peel regions of Toronto and did not find any additional product that had been altered. Consumers using infant formulas should examine the containers to ensure that the security seal is intact and has not been altered.
  • Export Inc. is recalling Podravka brand Luncheon Meat from the marketplace because it contains milk which is not declared on the label.

US Recalls

  • Whole Foods Market is recalling mini 4oz. containers of pre-packaged Caesar salad and Mesclun Goat Cheese salad sold in stores on July 8, 2014 throughout New York, New Jersey (Excluding Princeton, Cherry Hill and Marlton) and Connecticut (Excluding Glastonbury, West Hartford and Bishop's Corner) due to mislabeling and a resulting undeclared allergen of fish and egg (Caesar) and tree nuts (Mesclun Goat Cheese). The product has a Sell by date of: 7/11/14.
