UK Recalls

  • VBites Foods is extending its recall to all 125g pots of its 'Wot, No Dairy?' raspberry dessert and black cherry dessert products because they may contain milk, which is not mentioned on the labels. (FSA)
  • Aldi Stores Ltd has withdrawn nice 'n easy Thai Chicken Panang with a 'best before end' date of October 2015, because the packets contain 'Thai Chicken Peanut' and the presence of peanuts is not mentioned on the label. (FSA)
  • Young's Seafood Ltd is recalling its Chip Shop Extra Large Fish Cakes 2 Pack, with a 'best before' end date of December 2015, on a precautionary basis, because a limited number of packs have been found to be contaminated with small pieces of hard plastic. (FSA)
  • Booker has withdrawn Chef's Larder Madras Curry Powder with a 'best before' end date of March 2017 and batch code LEP 048771 as a precautionary measure. This is because Salmonella was found during routine testing. (FSA)

Ireland Recalls

  • As a precautionary measure, Sheridan's Cheesemongers is recalling a batch of Fromagerie Donge Brie de Meaux (batch code: RG0805M; best before date: 24/07/2014, due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
  • Milk protein was detected in some batches of VBites "The Redwood Co. Wot No Dairy?" Desserts (VBites "The Redwood Co. Wot No Dairy? Raspberry Dessert" and "The Redwood Co. Wot No Dairy? Black Cherry Dessert"; all expiry dates; all batch codes; pack sizes: 125g and 145g), that were labelled as dairy free.
  • Aldi Ireland is recalling a batches of 'Nice 'n Easy Thai Chicken Panang with Jasmine Rice' (frozen) (best before end (BBE): OCT 15; batch: 17757100 B2710D; pack size: 350g) as the "Chicken Peanut" ready meal was incorrectly packed as "Thai Chicken Panang." Peanut is an ingredient, but it is not declared.

Australia and New Zealand Recalls

  • Massel Australia Pty Ltd has recalled four flavours of Chefs Cupboard Simply Stock from Aldi Stores in ACT, NSW, QLD and VIC due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (milk). The recalled batches are: Beef (Best Before 30 DEC 2015 and 31 DEC 2015- all batch codes for these dates), Chicken (Best Before 26 DEC 2015 and 30 DEC 2015 - all batch codes for these dates), Vegetable (Best Before 24 DEC 2015 - batch code 57318 only) and Salt Reduced Chicken (Best Before 25 DEC 2015 and 26 DEC 2015 - batch codes 55407, 57324 only).
  • Spanish Doughnuts Foods Pty Ltd has recalled Spanish Doughnuts Flavour Filled Churros from Costco Stores in ACT, NSW, QLD and VIC due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (wheat/gluten). The affected products are packaged as Cardboard box - 12 pack, 900g, and include All Best Before dates up to and including 30 APR 15.
  • Mondelez Australia Pty Ltd has recalled Marvellous Creations Jelly Popping Candy Beanies 50g chocolate bar (also found in the 'Cadbury Fundraiser Joyville Sweet Treat Box' and 'Cadbury Dairy Milk Variety Box' sold only at Costco) nationally from Coles, Woolworths, IGA, Kmart, Big W, convenience stores and some petrol stations due to foreign matter contamination (small plastic pieces). Best Before dates affected are 25/02/15 and 26/02/15.

Canada Recalls

  • Industry is recalling Palm brand Liver Spread (227g) from the marketplace because it contains milk which is not declared on the label.
  • Chuang's Company Ltd. is recalling Old Village brand White Coffee (600g - 15 sticks × 40g) from the marketplace because it contains milk which is not declared on the label.
  • Industry is recalling San Mig brand 3 in 1 Coffeemix (140g (14g x 10 sachets) and 14g(may have been sold individually or in other formats, such as in bundles of twelve)) from the marketplace because it contains milk which is not declared on the label.
  • Industry is recalling Sweet 2 Eat brand fresh, whole peaches, plums, nectarines and pluots (All pack dates 152 to 193, inclusive) from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
  • Jan K Overweel Ltd. is recalling the following Italian cheeses from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination: Luigi Guffanti 1876 Burrata di Corato, 500g, Lot 140708, Best Before 23/07/14; Vecchia Malga Burratina, 100g, Lot 191, Best Before 26-07-2014
  • Industry is recalling Earth Circle Organics (Codes 3642, 3404, 3221, 3267, 3405, 3262, 3487, 3387, 3292, 201901, 196201, 194801, 188901, 0786) and Harmonic Arts Botanical Dispensary brand Organic Carob Powder (Codes 3405, 3262) from the marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination.
  • Winners Merchants International LP is recalling Ecoato brand Sweet Paprika Powder (160g, Lot#8147, October 2015) from the marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination.
  • Clover Trading Company Ltd. is recalling Flying Swallow brand White Pepper Powder (55g, UPC 7 77244 00012 6) from the marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination.
  • La Fromagerie Hamel is recalling La fromagerie Hamel brand "St-Felicien lait cru France (Rhone-Alpes)" cheese (180g, Code 11772104, Best Before 19/08/2014) from the marketplace due to possible E. coli O26:H11 contamination.

US Recalls

  • Mars Food North America is voluntarily recalling two Lot Codes of UNCLE BEN'S® READY RICE® Garden Vegetable with Peas, Carrots & Corn pouch product (Best Before Date 06/15 MADE IN CANADA, Lot Code 422GBBFP1[L or R] 423AABFP1[L or R]), representing less than 2,000 cases. Some pouches in these lot codes were filled with a different product that contains barley, a non-wheat source of gluten, which is not declared on the product packaging.
  • King of Pops of Charleston, SC is recalling mislabeled banana puddin' pops and keylime pie pops because they may contain milk, wheat, egg, and/or soy some of which is undeclared on the label. The UPC codes on these products are 59959 00305 and 59959 00304.
  • Whole Foods Market is recalling "Chocolate Chewies" produced and sold in the Hyannis, Massachusetts location due to an undeclared tree nut allergen. The product was sold in the store between Sunday, July 13, 2014 and Friday, July 18, 2014 in clear, clamshell packaging and has a Use By date of: 7/18/14.
  • Wawona Packing Company of Cutler, Calif is voluntarily recalling certain lots of whole peaches (white and yellow), nectarines (white and yellow), plums and pluots packed between June 1, 2014 through July 12,2014 due to the potential of the products being contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
  • Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is voluntarily recalling several in-store baked desserts that may contain fresh peaches, nectarines, and/or plums. The fruit was supplied by California-based Wawona Packing Company, which issued a voluntary recall when routine testing by the company showed potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The following recalled products may contain the affected Wawona-packed fruits: Peach Melba Whipped Cream, 34 oz. UPC 7789033104; Fruit-Topped Short Cake, 1/4 sheet, 49 oz.   • Earth Circle Organics, (River Canyon Retreat, Inc., dba) has been notified by its supplier of a recall of Organic Carob Powder due to possible health risks related to Salmonella contamination. The following products may be affected: CRBP16ow (Lot Nos. 3642, 3404, 3221, 3267), CRBP5lb (Lot Nos. 3405, 3262), CBP20lb (Lot Nos. 3487, 3387, 3292), CRBP55lb (Lot Nos. 201901; 196201; 194801; 188901; 0786)
  • Whole Foods Market has recalled made-in-store items prepared with organic and conventional stone fruit, including peaches, nectarines, and plums from Wawona Packing Co. because of possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Made-in-store items that contained one or more fruits subject to the Wawona Packing Co. recall were sold between June 1st and July 21st.
  • Great American Marketing, a Houston, Texas establishment, is recalling approximately 475 pounds of FSIS and FDA-regulated, ready-to-eat products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The sandwich and wrap products were produced on July 15, 2014, and then shipped to retail locations in Texas. Case labels or packaging bear the sell by date of 07/26/14. The following FSIS-regulated products are subject to recall: 7.4 ounce plastic-covered tray packages containing Chicken Caesar Wraps, 8.1 ounce plastic-covered tray packages containing Club Wraps. FDA-regulated products being recalled include: 10.5 ounce plastic-covered tray packages containing Ham and Cheddar Premium sandwiches, 10.5 ounce plastic-covered tray packages containing Turkey & Swiss Premium sandwiches.
  • Dancing Star LLC, Buckland, MA 01338 issues voluntary recall for various Snacks because they contain organic carob powder from Ciranda, Inc., Hudson, WI 54016, which may be contaminated with Salmonella. Rave Bites brand products impacted by the recall: Rave Bites Carob Supergreens (7oz UPC 7-69270-70008-8), Sell By Date 6/06/15; Rave Bites Date Flax with Turmeric (7oz UPC 7-69270-70006-4), Sell By Dates 4/10/15 and 4/25/15. Bulk Carob Powder impacted by the recall: Bulk organic Carob powder (10# UPC 7-69270-80001-6) Julian dates (0154, 0914, 0974, 0994, 1044, 1054, 1114, 1154, 1194, 1534, 1684, 1704, 1824, 1894).
  • LION PAVILION LTD. of Maspeth, NY is recalling Tasty Peach Slices because it contains undeclared sulfites. Tasty Peach Slices is sold in 3.87 ounce (110g), clear plastic jar and was distributed nationwide.
  • GoMacro, of Viola, Wis., is recalling MARCOBARS brand almond butter + carob lots 1634 and 1645 and sunflower butter + chocolate lot 1646, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
  • CaCoCo, Inc. has been notified by its supplier of a recall of Organic Carob Powder due to possible health risks related to Salmonella contamination. CaCoCo, Inc. has taken immediate action to recall its products, CaCoCo "Original" and "Global Warrior" (Lot Nos. OG99, OG100, OG101, GW99, GW100, GW101) containing said Organic Carob Powder in order to ensure the safety of its consumers.
  • Hayward, CA. Carmel Food Group has issued a voluntary recall of Rising Moon Organics Butternut Squash Ravioli(8 oz, UPC# 7-85030-55557-6. One Code Date is affected: Pkg. SELL BY APR 09 2015, Case SELL BY 040915), a frozen product, because of mixed product in the packages with SELL BY APR 09 2015 (ONLY). This mislabeling incident has resulted in product which may contain undeclared allergens, milk, egg, and soy.
  • The TJX Companies, Inc. today announced it is recalling "ecoato" Sweet Paprika Powder products as they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The specific product being recalled comes in a 160 gram, light green tin package and is marked as lot #8147, with an expiration date of October 2015.
  • Hummingbird Wholesale in Eugene Oregon has been notified by its supplier of a recall of Organic Raw Carob Powder due to possible health risks related to potential Salmonella contamination. Hummingbird Wholesale has taken immediate action to recall the Organic Raw Carob Powder. Products in question (Lot Nos. 14069, 14059, 14189, 14177, 14156, 14142) were sold to processors and retail outlets in Oregon, Washington, and California and to the end consumer in Oregon in 20 lb boxes and 5 lb bags between the dates of 5/22/14 through 7/24/14.
