UK Recalls

  • Saki Snacks Ltd is withdrawing a batch code (1923 R 140129 N) of its Almonds Ground because the presence of peanut protein is not mentioned on the label. (FSA)
  • Dairy Crest Ltd is recalling Weight Watchers West Country Thick Cream: Reduced Fat with use-by dates of 13 August 2014 and 14 August 2014 because of the presence of high levels of the bacterium known as Bacillus cereus. (FSA)
  • The Fine Seafood Co has recalled all packs of its Smoked Salmon 100g, because of the presence of the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. It has also recalled Plain Smoked Mackerel (240g and 150g) and Peppered Smoked Mackerel (240g and 150g) because these products have incorrect 'use by' dates. (FSA)

Ireland Recalls

  • Verotoxigenic E. coli O26:H11 has been found in a batch of Saint Felicien cheese. The manufacturer, Etoile du Vercors, is recalling the following four types of cheese (with use by dates within the range 04/08/14 to 03/09/14 inclusive) because they could have been made with the same contaminated raw milk: Saint Felicien, Saint Marcellin, Sechon de Vache, Tommes du Dauphine.

Canada Recalls

  • OS Distribution is recalling the following A1 Mountain Globe brand curry powders from the marketplace because they contain peanuts and mustard which are not declared on the label: A1 Meat Curry Powder, 250g, UPC 9 555149 605995 and A1 Fish Curry Powder, 250g, UPC 9 555149 605889.
  • Charob Distribution Services Inc. is recalling Margaritaville brand Island Lime Tortilla Chips (364g, codes xxxx*/190/L2/BEST/BY/10/07/14) from the marketplace because it contains milk which is not declared on the label.
  • Industry is recalling Avina Fresh Mushrooms brand Sliced Crimini Mushrooms (454g, codes 205, 206 and 207) from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
  • Concord Premium Meats Ltd. is recalling Marc Angelo brand Genoa Salami (100g, Best Before: 14 DE 01) from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

US Recalls

  • VR Green Farms of San Clemente, California, is voluntarily recalling the following varieties of jarred food products: Pine Nut Basil Pesto, Pickled Farm Mix, Old World Tomato Sauce, Sundried Tomatoes in Olive Oil, Tuscan Grilling Sauce, and Pasta Sauce. These food products were sold under the VR Farms label and packaged in Mason-style glass jars with screw-on metal lids. The product labels do not include any coding or "use by" dates. The products were sold at the VR Green Farms stand in San Clemente, California and via the Internet to consumers throughout the United States. The products may have been improperly produced, making them susceptible to contamination with Clostridium botulinum.
  • Oasis Brands, Inc of Miami, FL is recalling Quesito Casero 12oz with expiration date 09/27/14, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
  • Ortho Molecular Products of Stevens Point, Wisconsin is recalling all lots of LifeCore Chocolate and LifeCore Complete Chocolate because the flavoring may contain undeclared milk. All LifeCore Chocolate and LifeCore Complete Chocolate products distributed through August 1, 2014 are subject to the recall. Products subject to the recall contain lots numbers beginning with the following numbers: 73286, 73620, 74419, 75339, 73288, 73840, 74562, 75568, 73455, 73859, 74773, 75749, 73482, 73987, 74920, 75919, 73569, 74038, 75309.
  • Sunburst Superfoods of Tuckahoe, NY, is recalling Sunburst SUPERFOODS Organic Raw Carob Powder sold from March 12, 2014 through July 28th, 2014, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Sunburst SUPERFOODS Organic Raw Carob Powder was distributed throughout the United States to consumers through online sales, in One Pound and Five Pound bags with no coding.
  • Seoul Shik Poom Inc. of Englewood, NJ is recalling Choripdong Chocolate Almond Richmond Ice Bar (4bags/432ml) because they may contain undeclared eggs.
  • Sunfood of El Cajon, CA is recalling Organic Carob Powder, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The product comes in 1lb, 20lb & 55lb white poly bags and the following lot numbers were affected: 140321,140416,140509,140516,140609,140616 & 140623.
