UK Recalls

  • Marlow Foods Ltd has recalled a date code of Quorn Cottage Pie because some packs have been packed with Quorn Lasagne which contains wheat (gluten) and celery. This makes the product a possible health risk for anyone who has an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten and/or an allergy to celery. (FSA)
  • Aytac Foods Ltd is withdrawing a batch of Aycan Dried Apricot because the product contains sulphur dioxide, which is not mentioned on the packaging. This means the product is a possible health risk to those with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and sulphites. (FSA)
  • Sunburst Snacks is withdrawing all batch codes of its Golden Raisins because the product contains sulphur dioxide, which is not mentioned on the packaging. This means the product is a possible health risk for those with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide (sulphites). (FSA)
  • Higgidy Ltd is recalling a date code of its Feta and Red Pepper Veggie Rolls product because it contains sulphites, which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk to anyone with sensitivity to sulphites. (FSA)
  • Marks & Spencer has withdrawn packs of its 4 Mini Chicken & Chorizo Kebabs and packs of its 4 Mini Chicken Kebabs with Pomegranate, Garlic & Cumin because some packs do not mention the presence of wheat (gluten). This means the products are a possible risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten. (FSA)
  • Asda has withdrawn packs of its Deliciously Creamy Meal for 1 (Chicken Korma) and its Mild & Aromatic Meal for 1 (Chicken Tikka) because the samosas contain milk, which is not mentioned on the product. Packs of Tasty & Tangy Meal for 1 (Chicken in Black Bean Sauce) are also being withdrawn because the spring rolls contain soya and barley, which is not mentioned on the product. (FSA

Ireland Recalls

  • Fior Uisce are recalling of all batches of Fior Uisce Water due to elevated levels of volatile organic compounds. Elevated levels of tetrachloroethene and trichloroethene were detected in Fior Uisce bottled water.

Canada Recalls 

  • Thai Indochine Trading Inc. is recalling Vinacafé and Vinacafé BH Wake-Up brands coffee products from the marketplace because they contain milk which is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to milk should not consume the recalled products.
  • Nha Trang Deli Inc. is recalling Beef Balls from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
  • B.H. Kosher Select Food Dist. is recalling Ortega brand Taco Seasoning Mix from the marketplace because it contains peanut and almond which are not declared on the label. People with an allergy to peanut or almond should not consume the recalled product.
  • Tonsell International Inc. is recalling Krakus brand Red Borscht Soup from the marketplace because it contains milk which is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to milk should not consume the recalled product.
  • Aki’s Fine Foods Ltd. is recalling certain Aki’s brand pickle and chutney products from the marketplace because they contain mustard which is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to mustard should not consume the recalled products.
  • JC Bunny Bunny Trading Co. Ltd is recalling a sesame paste product from the marketplace because it contains peanut which is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to peanut should not consume the recalled product.
  • Purity Factories Ltd. is recalling Purity brand Spearmint Lumps and Bull's Eyes from the marketplace because they contain wheat which is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to wheat or sensitivity to gluten should not consume the recalled products. 

US Recalls 

  • Marin Foods Specialties, Inc. is voluntarily recalling Organic Raw Almonds (bitter almonds), due to them possibly containing elevated levels of naturally occurring hydrogen cyanide according to laboratory test results.
  • Schwartz Brothers Bakery is recalling “Everything Bagels” because product contains milk but it is not declared as the ingredient on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
  • Oasis Brands, Inc. is recalling select lots of various Lacteos Santa Martha products with Best by dates of 07/01/14 through 12/31/14, because the products has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
  • House of Spices of Flushing is recalling its 200 gms packages of “Laxmi Nutkhhat Golden Raisin” food treats because they contained undeclared sulfites. Consumers who have severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
  • Kulana Foods Ltd. is recalling approximately 4,465 pounds of frozen, fully cooked pork products because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The products are formulated with a soy sauce that contains wheat, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label.
