UK Recalls

  • Nua Naturals has recalled its Organic Chlorella Powder with BioCultures (140g) because salmonella has been detected. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause food poisoning. The FSA has issued a Product Recall Information Notice. (FSA)
  • The Wine Society is recalling The Society's Prosecco wine because the bottles might shatter. If you have bought the product, do not drink it. The FSA has issued a Product Recall Information Notice. (FSA)
  • Suma has recalled its unsalted Organic Crunchy Peanut Butter because it may contain a foreign body, which could be a choking hazard. The FSA has issued a Product Recall Information Notice. (FSA)
  • Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Morrison’s are recalling a number of food products after a batch of potatoes used as ingredients in all of them was found to contain small pieces of metal. The affected batch of potatoes originated from a single supplier. (FSA)
  • Sainsbury's is recalling its Be Good to Yourself Potato Salad, by Sainsbury’s Potato Salad 180g/300g/500g and its by Sainsbury’s Deli-Style Coleslaw & Potato Salad 500g as they may contain small pieces of metal. If you have bought one of these products with the SKU codes listed below, do not eat it. The FSA has issued a Product Recall Information Notice. (FSA)
  • Tesco is recalling its Tesco Finest Charlotte Potato Salad 275g, Tesco Finest Coleslaw and Potato Salad 400g, Tesco Potato Salad 300g/600g, Tesco Healthy Living Salad 300g and Tesco Coleslaw and Potato Salad Twin Pack 500g as they may contain small pieces of metal. If you have bought one of these products with the 'use by' dates listed below, do not eat it. (FSA)
  • O'Donnells is recalling a batch of O'Donnells (Gluten Free) Tipperary Mature Irish Cheese and Red Onion Crisps as they contain gluten, which is not declared on the label. This makes the product a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to gluten. (FSA)
  • Higgidy Ltd is recalling two date codes of its ‘Chicken & Smoky Spanish Chorizo Pie’ as the product contains egg, which is not mentioned on the label. This makes the product a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg. (FSA)

Ireland Recalls 

  • Lidl Ireland is withdrawing all batches of Eridanous Mousaka frozen ready meal, as the cooking instructions provided on the label are incorrect.  The label incorrectly states that the product is to be cooked in the oven for 10 minutes or in the microwave for 2 minutes.  The correct cooking instructions are 45 minutes in the oven or 10 minutes in the microwave. Lidl Ireland is displaying notices in stores advising of the correct product cooking instructions. (FSAI)
  • Suma is recalling a batch of its Unsalted Organic Crunchy Peanut Butter, as it may contain a foreign body which could represent a choking hazard and a public health risk for those consuming the product.  Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores that were supplied with the implicated batch. (FSAI)
  • Kepak Frozen Division is recalling the above batch of Big Al's Chicken Goujons Gluten and Wheat Free, following customer complaints of the possible presence of clear plastic pieces in some packs. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores that were supplied with the affected batch. No action is required by official agencies. (FSAI)

Canada Recalls 

  • Industry is recalling Vasco Da Gama brand canned seafood products from the marketplace because they may be contaminated with dangerous bacteria. (Canada Inspection)
  • Bedessee Imports Ltd. is recalling Brown Betty brand Coconut Milk Powder Mix from the marketplace because it contains milk which is not declared on the label. (Canada Inspection)
  • Seoul Trading Corporation is recalling Orion Ball from the marketplace because it contains squid, crab, and shrimp which are not declared on the label. (Canada Inspection)
  • Daehsan Canada Inc. is recalling DXN brand instant coffee products from the marketplace because they contain milk which is not declared on the label. (Canada Inspection)
  • The Soup Boy is recalling Carrot Soup from the marketplace because it may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. (Canada Inspection)
  • Killarney Market is voluntarily recalling Killarney Market brand ground beef from the marketplace due to possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination. (Canada Inspection)

US Recalls  

  • A&S Food Trading Inc is recalling Hua Zhi Ying brand Gourd Candy because it contains undeclared sulfites. People who have severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product. (FDA)
  • Aurora Products, Inc. is conducting a voluntary recall of raw macadamia nuts packaged under the Aurora brand label and various Store brand labels. Products are being recalled because they have the potential to contain Salmonella which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis. (FDA)
  • OC Raw Dog of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA is voluntarily recalling 2055 lbs. of Turkey & Produce Raw Frozen Canine Formulation, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.  An organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Salmonella can affect animals eating the products and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products. (FDA)
  • Natural Creations of Woodbine, IA is recalling a small quantity of Natural Creations New Zealand Colostrum because the label does not inform consumers that the product is milk-based. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk protein run the risk of serious allergic reaction if they consume this product. No illnesses have been reported to date. Natural Creations was notified of potential risk from contract manufacturer. (FDA)
  • Good Seed Inc. of Springfield, VA is recalling all packages of soybean sprouts and mung bean sprouts because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections to individuals with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. (FDA)
  • ZYK Enterprises, Inc. a Duvall, WA establishment, is recalling 2,522 pounds of boneless veal trim and whole veal muscle cut products that may be contaminated with  E. coli O157:H7, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. (USDA)
  • A.S.K. Foods Inc., a Palmyra, Penn. establishment, is recalling approximately 414 pounds of ground stuffing product due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The product contains soy lecithin, a known allergen which is not declared on the product label. (USDA)
  • AA Poultry Processing, LLC, a Ridgeland, Wis. establishment, is recalling approximately 2,191 pounds of chicken and 21 pounds of turkey products, which may have been contaminated with trichloro-s-triazinetrione, which is not approved for use in poultry processing, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. (USDA)
  • Walker's Foods, a Carrollton, Ga., establishment, is recalling approximately 46,612 pounds of pork with sauce products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The products contain soy, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. (USDA)

Australia and New Zealand Recalls  

  • JimJam Foods has recalled Salsa Izolotot from independent stores, delicatessens and fruit shops in VIC due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (gluten). Consumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund. (FDA)
