Evaluating Distributors Workshop

The two biggest concerns of the MHRA – supply chain vulnerabilities and counterfeit products – will be addressed in valuable one-day workshops to be held on 31st May 2011 and 2nd November 2011 by RSSL.

Aimed primarily at Qualified and Responsible Persons, these certificated courses will give practical and valuable training to everyone with responsibility for auditing distributors and managing the supply chain.

According to Lyndsey Wright, Manager of RSSL's Training Division, "Like all of us, the supply chain is having to cope with increased fuel prices and financial pressures, and this can mean a temptation to cut corners. Clearly, the need to protect pharmaceutical integrity is too important to let this happen. Therefore, QPs and RPs have to be especially vigilant now to make sure the expectations of GDP and GMP are being met with every shipment, in every case, right to the point of end use by patients. This workshop will give practical guidance on counterfeit risk and supply security, it will spell out the 'Must Haves' in a Technical Agreement and it will show auditors what to focus on during audits. That will include practical things like evaluating temperature records and validating insulated containers, and how to check on the bona fides of all suppliers."
