Our QP Viva Preparation Day, is much more than just a ‘Mock Viva’. It is a full day focused on preparing you fully for your Viva Assessment. You will spend a day with either Alex Hall.

We have been supporting Trainee QPs since 2003 and have vast experience preparing candidates for their Viva and during that time we have learned that candidates do not fail their Viva because they do not necessarily know the information, but it is often because they suffer from nerves or do not structure their responses correctly.

It is important to understand that this is not a formal 'Mock Viva' session. We have used this type of approach in the past and do not feel it is the best use of your time with such an experienced individual. So prior to the day, we request a copy of your Viva Application Form and review it and make any recommendations. Then the day focuses on fully preparing you for every aspect of your Viva Assessment.

These sessions are relevant to Trainee QPs either training with RSSL or another provider. They form part of our Qualified Person Training and Viva Support Programme and provide support to our Trainee QPs to ensure they are thoroughly prepared for their Viva.

The day covers the following sessions and any questions that a Trainee QP may have:

  • Review of your Viva application form and ensuring it is ‘fit for purpose’
  • Address any knowledge gaps
  • Ensure you are fully prepared for your Viva and know what to expect
  • You understand the types of questions you will be asked
  • Ensure you understand how to structure your responses
  • Provide you with techniques for dealing with nerves and giving yourself time to think
    • The objectives of the day are:
